Admissions

To apply for admission to Centura College Online, you can begin by using one of three different options:

Call 757-233-6565 or toll free at
866-858-2121 and ask to speak with an admissions officer.

Email Amy Romero, the Director of Admissions, at  admdirconl@centura.edu to discuss admission.

Request admissions information by filling out an information request online.

After you contact us, we will reach you for a "preliminary interview," which will help us all assess the program you are interested in and the needs we can help you fill. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian should be present during the initial interview.

An admissions officer will conduct the preliminary interview and schedule subsequent appointments with a financial aid officer. This procedure is risk-free: If your application is rejected, you will be notified, and any fees paid will be fully refunded.

Graduation from high school or a high school equivalency certificate (General Equivalency Diploma or GED) is required for admission. You will be required to present evidence of graduation or GED completion. Also, you must be 18 years old or older to begin the program. In addition to these requirements, all online students must successfully complete the Orientation process in order to be admitted to the School. During Orientation you will learn everything you need to know to get online and use the educational software. At the end of Orientation, your skills will be assessed to make sure that you are prepared to succeed. Enrollment is not complete until the orientation process is successfully completed.

An acknowledgment will be sent to you immediately upon acceptance for admission to Centura College Online. Your acceptance can be "provisional," so that you and we can determine whether financial aid is available to you. You will need to submit specific information to determine your enrollment acceptance terms. You will be considered an "accepted student" if and when you are able to attend the first day of class.
